Marrow Bush Baby produces compact dark green fruits with a pale green stripe, ideal for growing in smaller gardens, containers or on the patio. They grow to approximately 15-20cm (6-8") long and are very attractive when picked young as a courgette.
Mung Bean is the popular Chinese bean sprout. It is a white sprout which can be used in salads and stir frys and numerous delicious Chinese dishes. They can be harvested when they are about 3-4cm long after 4-6 days.
Mustard Golden Streaks has very finely serrated leaves with a good texture. It has a sweet Mustard taste with a surprising hint of new potatoes making it an excellent addition in salads.
Southern Giant has mild flavoured, dark green, fringed leaves, making it ideal for both spring or autumn cropping from young leaves or full plant. It produces very tasty greens with mild mustard flavour for use raw in salad or lightly cooked.
The leaves of Komatsuna resemble turnip leaves with a spicy flavour which increases with maturity. Leaves can be used individually, seedling plants used whole or the flower stems can be picked when first produced. They are fast to produce, one month from sowing. Sow spring onwards and will survive winter with some cover.
Ailsa Craig produces large globe shaped bulbs with a mild flavour beneath golden straw coloured skin. This variety makes for a good exhibition onion but does not store for long periods and should be used in early winter.
