These grow tubes are used to encourage strong and vigorous root growth which ensures healthy plants, and protects the roots from damage and you don't need to transplant both the pot and content as the roots can grow through the base of the pots. A plastic free way to grow your favourite crops. These are biodegradable and slowly breaks up
Ideal for starting sweet pea seeds, beans, leeks and other tap rooted plants. The extra depth gives plants good root development with minimal disturbance. Plant one seed per pot, or use for plant cuttings.
Plant out the complete tube when the roots have started to grow through the base of the tubes. Simply transfer the whole tube to the ground with the rim 2.5cm above the surrounding soil and water well. As the tubes stick out of the ground, they deter pests and acts as a funnel, channelling water directly to the roots.
Each pot is 6cm wide (diameter) and 12.5cm (5") long
