Here at Kings, we know that successful growing requires high-quality seeds that are guaranteed to germinate. Thats why we have our own fully equipped laboratory where our seeds are tested so we can be confident that seeds you receive will work. You may know that all vegetable seeds need to meet a legal germination limit. Our seeds are tested in our own laboratory under the management of Julia Simpson, our qualified analyst, to check that our seeds not only meet the legal requirements, but exceed them. This way, we can be sure that our seeds we supply are of the highest germination rates. Although, it's not just the germination rates  that are checked, we also check the purity and vigour. The roots and shoots of each seedling is checked thoroughly too. If there are any abnormalities with the seeds, such as contaminated with bacteria or a virus, our thorough checks would pick them up.

All seeds in our warehouse are split into batches and given a lot number. Once each batch has been tested, the germination results are recorded on our system. If you ever have any issues with germination, please contact us with the lot number printed on the inner foil. This way, we can check our test result records. 

Our seeds are stored in temperature-controlled facilities to prolong the life and quality of seeds whilst in our warehouse. Each batch of seeds is tested annually, so we can detect if there has been a germination drop, or if the quality decreases.
