Where to Sow

Sow seeds into individual pots or module trays of moist seed compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place at a temperature of between 20-23°C . Do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-14 days.

What to do Next

When well grown, gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost 23- 30cm (9-12”) apart, taking care not to damage the root system. Best planted in well-drained soil in full sun.
