When to Sow Cinderella Mixed Stock Seeds

Where to Sow

Sow seeds on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

What to do Next

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12") apart.

Handy Tip

To select for 100% double blooms, grow seedlings on at below 10°C (50°F) for a few days and you will notice the colour of the seedlings will change. Prick out only the seedlings with yellowish-green cotyledobns which are doubles and discard the dark green ones which will produce single flowers.
