When to Sow Fireball Marigolds

February to April

Where to Sow

On the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or in a warm place and keep at a temperature between 21-25°C. Do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days.

What to do next

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12") apart in well drained soil in full sun.
