WHERE TO SOW
Sow the seed thinly in well-prepared seed beds in shallow drills 1.5cm (1/2”) deep. Keep well watered.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Thin the seedlings as they appear to 5cm (2”) apart. When the seedlings are about 10-15cm (4-6”) tall, transplant to the growing site 35-40cm (14”-16”) apart. Set the young plants 1.5cm (3/4”) deeper than they were in the seedbed.
HANDY TIP
Dual-purpose variety. To grow spring greens plant out to 15cm (6”) apart and take alternative plants in March as spring greens leaving the others to fully mature fully.
NUTRITIONAL VALUES
Excellent source of vitamins C and B. The darkest leaves contain the most nutrients.
